Diabetes means sugar disease has become a common problem in today’s time. Poor lifestyle, unbalanced eating and increasing stress include its major causes. Many people are unable to control their sugar level despite medicines and avoidance. To deal with this problem, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has given some natural and effective measures, which can be controlled to a large extent by adopting diabetes.

1. Stay in touch with nature

According to Sadhguru, maintaining contact with soil is beneficial for body and mental health. Diabetes patients should walk on the soil for some time barefoot or join activities like gardening. Once a month, applying soil on the whole body and then bathing is also considered beneficial. It helps to balance the body’s stability and energy.

2. Include yoga in the routine

Yoga and physical activities play an important role in controlling diabetes. According to Sadhguru, diabetes in Ayurveda is associated with body instability. Practice such as some yoga postures and Shambhavi Mahamudra can be helpful in controlling blood sugar by increasing the stability of the body.

3. Take the support of Ayurveda

Many natural remedies have been mentioned in Ayurveda to control diabetes. According to Sadhguru, it can be beneficial to pay attention to your food and exercise regularly as well as to consume Ayurvedic herbs. Elements like fenugreek seeds, bitter gourd, amla, berries, neem and flaxseed seeds help in controlling blood sugar. It would be appropriate to seek the advice of an Ayurvedic doctor before using them.

4. Include coarse grains in the diet

According to Sadhguru, diabetes patients should give priority to the millet ie coarse grains in their diet. Grains like ragi, millet, kutki take more time to digest, so that blood sugar levels do not increase rapidly. By eating them regularly, the body also provides essential nutrients and helps in keeping diabetes under control.
