Sachin Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar is considered the greatest batsman in the world. He is the highest run scorer in Test and ODI. He is the only player with 100 centuries to his name. Now Sachin Tendulkar has accepted the invitation to become an honorary member of the Melbourne Cricket Club. This was confirmed by Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) through a post on Twitter.

One of Australia’s oldest sporting clubs, the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) was founded in 1838. Responsible for the management and development of the Melbourne Club Cricket Ground (MCG), one of cricket’s premier venues. MCC posted on ‘X’ and wrote that an ‘icon’ is being honoured. MCC is pleased to announce that Sachin Tendulkar, who has made outstanding contributions to cricket, has accepted Honorary Membership of the Club.

 

Indian batsman who scored most runs on MCG

Sachin Tendulkar is the Indian batsman who has scored the most Test runs at MCG. He scored 449 runs in five Test matches at this ground at an average of 44.90 and strike rate of 58.69. He has scored one century and three half-centuries on this ground. Earlier in 2012, Tendulkar was awarded the ‘Order of Australia’, one of Australia’s highest honours. The MCG is currently hosting the fourth Test of the five-Test series between India and Australia.

 

Scored more than 15 thousand runs in test cricket

Sachin Tendulkar scored a total of 15,921 runs for the Indian team in Test matches, in which he scored 51 centuries, and he has 18,426 runs in 463 ODI matches. He scored 49 centuries in ODIs. Whether he played at home or abroad, he excelled with his batting on every ground in the world.
