In the second ODI played between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Hamilton, a spectacular catch was seen which surprised the cricket fans and legends. New Zealand player Nathan Smith took such an incredible catch that even Sachin Tendulkar himself was surprised. The God of Cricket shared the video of this catch on his social media account and wrote:

“Who said flying is just for planes and birds?”

This praise of Tendulkar must have increased Nathan Smith’s enthusiasm and pride.

How was this spectacular catch made?

This incident happened in the 29th over of the Sri Lankan innings. Ishan Malinga, who was batting, tried to play a big shot on the last ball of the over. The ball took the edge of his bat and flew over the wicket. Due to the small grounds, everyone thought that this ball would easily cross the boundary. But then Nathan Smith surprised everyone by coming in between.

  • Catch method:
    1. Smith ran fast first.
    2. Jumping in the air he caught the ball.
    3. Seeing his way of catching the catch and his reaction, it seemed that this was a common thing for him, but after seeing this, ‘Wow’ must have come out of everyone’s mouth.
