Irkutsk Governor Igor Cobzev confirmed the accident and said that all four pilots in the aircraft had gone out before the accident. However, one of these pilots died, while the other three survived. In the video available at the scene, a big bust of fire and smoke from the accident site is seen rising. Electricity in the area was also disrupted due to the accident.
TU-22 M3 role in Ukraine War
The TU-22 M3 bombers Jet was first deployed by Russia to bomb the city of Marriupol during the Ukraine War. The aircraft can fly up to a distance of about 7,000 kilometers and is capable of carrying deadly weapons such as nuclear missiles KH-15, KH-22. It can fly at more than Mac 2 (2300 km/h).
