Russia reacted sharply, calling Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky’s recent American visit completely unsuccessful. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Jakharova said on Saturday that the Jailonski had become blind in the passion to continue the war and his journey proved to be a completely political and diplomatic failure.

Significantly, Jailonsky met US President Donald Trump at Washington DC on Friday, but the two leaders had a debate in front of the media at the White House. This unexpected event was shocking for the world.

Russia’s blunt – our goals will not change

According to Reuters, there was a clear message behind Russia’s rhetoric that there would be no change in its strategy or military goals.

Russian spokesperson Maria Zakharova said:
“Russia aims to immerse Ukraine and end Nazism. Also, we are working on the policy of accepting the ground reality. ”

It is clear from this statement that Russia is not ready to change its military operations in any way, no matter how international Ukraine gets.

Debate between Jailonsky and Trump in the White House

During his visit to America, Jailonsky held a meeting with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance at the Oval Office. But the meeting turned into a public debate, after which the atmosphere became tense.

The effect of this dispute was so big that:

  • Other meetings to be held at Jailonski’s White House were canceled.
  • His joint press conference with Donald Trump was also postponed.

This situation is indicating a rift in relations between the US and Ukraine.

European leaders supported Jelonski

European leaders raised their voice in support of Gelnsky after a sharp debate between Donald Trump and Jailonski.

European Parliament Speaker Robert Matsola wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ (Twitter):
“Your dignity respects the bravery of Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone. We will continue to work with you for just and permanent peace. ”

German Chancellor Olaf Scolz also supported Jailonsky in his statement and said:
“Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. So we are working on a common path for a permanent and just peaceful peace. Ukraine can rely on Germany and Europe. “

What will be ahead?

The purpose of this visit to Jailonsky was to raise military and economic support for Ukraine, but the incidents in Washington may increase tension in the US and Ukraine relations.

At the same time, Russia has made it clear that it will not soften in its military operations against Ukraine. Now the question is whether the US will change its stance towards Ukraine, or will Jailonsci pursue its strategy with the support of Europe?
