Esha Verma, the stepdaughter of television actress Rupali Ganguly, made shocking allegations in 2020, claiming that Rupali was responsible for the breakdown of her parents’ marriage. She revealed that Ganguly had even visited their New Jersey home and slept in the bed shared by her parents. Now, Esha has broken down in tears on her Instagram handle, saying she faced intense scrutiny for exposing the truth about Rupali.
On Wednesday, Esha, who was seen getting emotional, said, “Some days you can be okay and some days you are a complete wreck. You get scrutinised for wanting to speak up and you also get questioned, ‘Where the fu*k did you go?’ When you have your own family, who wants to destroy you for just trying to live her life? I tried to be happy but we don’t talk about these things.”
She added, “There are fu*king crazy ass people who want to indulge in the drama.”
Further, Esha, who stays in New Jersey, US, also stated that she was a ‘nepo baby’ who was kept in the shadows, who grew up in silence, confusion and pain that was not hers to carry. “When the truth came out, expectedly and loudly, I was the one blamed. I was scared. I was unprotected. And instead of beign supported, I was shamed. But after months of harrassment. I am standing my ground,” added Verma.
Following Esha’s allegations against Rupali, the actress issued a defamation notice of Rs 50 crore to Esha, stating that the latter’s statements had damaged her reputation and affected her career.
Esha, is Ashwin and Sapna Verma’s daughter. Ashwin and Sapna tied the knot in 1997 and separated in 2008.
Later, Esha’s father Ashwin got married twice before tying the knot to Rupali. They got married in 2013. Rupali and Ashwin have a son named Rudransh.
