First change – LPG prices

Second change- CNG-PNG and ATF prices

Apart from the price of LPG cylinders, the prices of CNG and PNG can also be improved from day one. Along with this, companies can also change the prices of air turbine fuel i.e. ATF on 1 April 2025. Third change – This UPI ID will be closed

This change from April 1, 2025 is related to Unified Payments Interface i.e. UPI. UPI accounts associated with mobile numbers not active for a long time will be removed from bank records. Fourth change – New Debit Card Rules

Fifth change – UPS starts

The Integrated Pension Scheme (UPS) providing guaranteed pension to central employees is going to start from 1 April with the introduction of the new tax year. Central government employees will be able to apply on the portal from April 1. If an employee wants to receive pension under UPS, he will have to fill the claim form to choose the UPS option. If they do not want to choose the option of UPS, then they can choose the option of NPS. Under this, 23 lakh central employees will have to choose one of UPS and NPS. The central government will also give about 8.5% additional contribution to the basic salary + dearness allowance (DA) of all employees who opt for UPS. The minimum pension under UPS will be Rs 10,000 per month, which will be provided by UPS on completing at least ten years of service.

Sixth Amendment – Rules related to tax slab

In Budget 2025, the government made several major announcements to provide relief to the middle class, including changes in tax slab to TDS, tax exemption and other things. Along with this, a new Income Tax Bill was proposed instead of the Old Income Tax Act 1961. All these changes will be applicable from 1 April 2025. Under the new tax slab, persons earning up to Rs 12 lakh annually will be exempted from tax. Additionally, salaried employees will be eligible for a standard deduction of Rs 75,000. This means that now salary income of up to Rs 12.75 lakh will be tax-free. However, this discount will only apply to those who will choose a new tax option.

Seventh change – TDS limit increases

Similarly, the exemption limit on rental income has been increased to Rs 6 lakh per year, which will reduce the burden on landlords and boost the fare market in urban areas.

Eighth Amendment – Rules related to credit card

On the one hand, SBI will reduce the swigg rewards from 5 times to half on its simplicity credit card, while Air India signature points will be reduced from 30 to 10. Tenth change – increase in toll tax

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) can increase the rates of toll tax from midnight of 31 March today, which can directly affect your highway journey. According to reports, NHAI has issued an order to implement increased rates at various toll plazas from April 1. According to this, the toll for light vehicles on the highway passing through Lucknow may increase by Rs 5. Whereas this increase for heavy vehicles can be ranging from 20 to 25 rupees. These new rates may apply to many toll plazas located on busy highways like Lucknow-Kanpur, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli and Barabanki. Apart from this, passengers passing through Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway and NH-9 may also have to pay more as toll tax.
