The government has already banned Chinese equipment manufacturers like Huawei and ZTE regarding national security. Now the government has made rules to ensure that they will have to undergo compulsory testing and certification before telecom equipment imports, selling or using in India. This rule ensures that all telecom equipment follow national and international security, performance and safety standards.
How to reach Chinese Chips in SIM card
Typically, telecom companies contact reliable and certified vendors to buy SIM cards. These vendors usually buy chips from approved places such as Vietnam and Taiwan and then assemble them in India, pack and enter serial numbers. These SIM cards are then distributed to telecom companies.
However, according to reports, some vendors have misused the process. He initially claimed that his SIM cards were purchased from chips authorized suppliers, but investigation revealed that some chips were actually from China.
