Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Under the Centenary year of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), over 1,000 volunteers will play Indian classical instruments at Dishrag maidan on Friday, at the culmination of the four-day Ghosh camp.

RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat will attend the programme. On the eve of the event, an exhibition of Indian classical instruments was inaugurated at the same place on Thursday.

To note, a four-day camp of 1,000 RSS volunteers of Malwa began here on Monday. On the concluding day of the camp, these volunteers will play Indian classical instruments in the presence of Dr Bhagwat.

The programme, known as Swar Shatakam, is being held for the first time in Malwa province. On this occasion, educationists, industrialists, doctors, professionals, sportsmen, artists and other eminent citizens will also be present.

Exhibition of ancient musical instruments

An exhibition of ancient musical instruments has also been set up at the venue. Vineet Navathe, Malwa province Karyavah inaugurated the exhibition on Thursday. Indore division Sanghchalak Dr. Mukesh Modh was also present. The exhibition is organised by Sanskar Bharti. Indore district vice president of Sanskar Bharti Dr. Vilas Sapre informed that some of the instruments displayed were 200-years-old. Rare musical instruments like Israj, Surbahar, sarangi, Mohan Veena and Ravan Hattha have also been showcased. This exhibition will be open on Friday too.
