Sangh, Government, BJP Discuss Love Jihad; Mull Over Caste Census | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The RSS functionaries, BJP organisation and government have held a meeting over Love Jihad incidents in the state capital. The meeting took place at the CM House on Friday. Besides Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, many RSS office- bearers and BJP leaders were present at the meeting.
BJP’s state in-charge, Mahendra Singh, stayed in Bhopal to participate in the meeting. There was a meeting between the RSS and the Rajasthan government in Jaipur on Thursday. They held another meeting in Bhopal the next day.
Various issues, including the celebrations of the RSS centenary, figured in the meeting. The RSS functionaries voiced concern over the rising incidents of Love Jihad.
According to sources, the RSS advised Yadav to act strongly against the guilty in Love Jihad cases. Besides the Sangh’s way of raising awareness about Love Jihad, the government should opt for other means of awareness, RSS functionaries said.
They also discussed the situation after the Pahalgam massacre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to do a caste census also figured in the discussion.
It also came up in the discussion that a positive message about the caste census should go to the public. It also came up at the meeting that the government and the organisation should work together. The action plan of the government also figured in the discussion.
