The accused was preparing to go to Dubai by filling all these valuables in his suitcase. He was stopped by the police at Zambia Airport. The incident is of Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, Jambia.

The 27 -year -old youth arrived at the airport to go to Dubai. The police suspected him during the investigation at the airport. Everyone was surprised when the Jambian Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) examined the bag during the investigation.

The accused had hidden a large number of currency notes and a gold brick in his bag. During the investigation, the police found seven gold rods worth $ 2.32 million (Rs 19 crore) and $ 500,000 (Rs 4 crore).

According to DEC, many international organizations may also be involved in this crime. The police is investigating the matter All the accused will be arrested soon.

It is noteworthy that gold and copper are available in large quantities in Zambia. Despite this, 60 percent of the country’s population is poor. This is the reason that there is a large smuggling of gold here.

This is not the first time that such a case has come up in Jambia. In 2023, five Egyptian citizens were caught with 127 kg of gold and crores of rupees.
