Railway Recruitment: The revised timetable for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) second Computer-Based Test (CBT 2) has been released by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). Earlier, the exam which was scheduled for March 19 and 20, 2025 will now held on May 2 and 6, 2025. Applicants who are going to appear in the first shift should reach the exam centres at 7:30 am whereas candidates who are going to sit in the second shift must report at 12.30 pm.

Applicants will receive an exam city intimation slip ten days before the exam and admit cards four days prior to the exam.
Who can appear in the RRB ALP CBT 2?
The following applicants must show up for the test:
1. Those whose tests had been scheduled for the first shift on March 19, except students who have already finished their exams.
2. Aspirants with tests planned for March 19’s second shift and March 20’s first shift.
RRB ALP CBT 2: Exam pattern
The RRB ALP CBT 2 will be divided into two portions, each lasting two hours and 30 minutes. This exam consists of 175 questions.
The first section of the paper is made of 100 questions, and applicants must finish in 90 minutes. The second part will consist of 75 questions and last 60 minutes. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 12 regional languages.
RRB ALP CBT 2: Marking scheme and passing percentage
Each incorrect response will result in a 1/3rd point deduction. RRBs will normalize the marks because the CBT 2 would be conducted in several shifts.
Part A has a minimum pass percentage:
UR and EWS applicants: 40%
OBC (NCL) and SC: 30%
ST: 25%
RRBs will stick to marks earned in Part A when selecting applicants for the next phases of the hiring procedure. However, all applicants, regardless of category, must score at least 35% in Part B.
