Royal Enfield Classic 650:There is a great news for Royal Enfield’s fans! After the immense success of the Classic 350, which has been in the Indian roads, the company is now preparing to add another powerful and stylish cruiser bike to its portfolio. Yes, we are talking much awaited Royal Enfield Classic 650 Ki, which is expected to be launched soon. This bike will not only carry forward the legacy of the classic design, but will also establish new standards of performance with its 650cc power engine.
Engine and Performance: 650cc Powerhouse
The biggest feature of Royal Enfield Classic 650 is going to be its engine. It is expected that it will be installed in the same 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine which has already proved its potential in successful bikes like Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and Super Meteor 650. This engine is known for its smooth power delivery, excellent torque and superb refinement.
-
Power: This engine is capable of generating about 47 bhp power and 52 Nm peak torque, which makes it suitable for comfortable cruising as well as to catch high speed on the highway.
-
Gearbox: It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, which will ensure smooth shifting and better riding experience.
-
Exhaust Note: Royal Enfield’s bikes are known for their special Thamping Sound, and hopefully Classic 650 will also give a beautiful and raobered exhaust note with its twin exhaust.
Look and design: classic heritage, modern style
As the name itself, Classic 650 will retain the classic retro style in its design, for which the Royal Enfield is famous.
-
Retro Appeal: It may see classic design elements such as round headlamps, tier-drop fuel tanks, split seats (or single piece seat), and wire-spoke wheels.
-
Modern Touch: In addition, it can include some modern elements such as LED lighting (possibly in headlamps and taillamps), a semi-digital instrument cluster which may also include tripper navigation pods, and can be given better switchgear.
-
Embarkal look: The wide handber, comfortable riding posture and the overall stance of the bike will provide it a “bhocali” and impressive appearance, which will draw everyone’s attention on the road.
Features and Suspension –Royal Enfield Classic 650
-
Suspension: It is expected that the front will be given traditional telescopic forks and twin shock absorbs in the rear, which will ensure comfortable ride quality.
-
Breaking: For safety, dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) with disc brakes on both wheels is likely to be given as standard.
-
Tires: It can get a choice of tubes or tubeless tires, which will suit the cruiser nature of the bike.
Potential launch and price
Although Royal Enfield has not yet officially announced the launch date, there is a discussion in the automotive world that it can be launched by the end of this year or early next year. In terms of price, it can be between existing 650cc models such as Interceptor 650 and Super Meteor 650 or slightly higher.
