Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 12 runs in an IPL match played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.

Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) set a target of 222 runs in 20 overs in front of Mumbai Indians (Mi). In response, the team of Mumbai Indians (Mi) could only manage 209 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 9 wickets. Rajat Patidar scored 64 off 32 balls in the match against Mumbai Indians (MI). He was adjudged ‘Man of the Match’ for this brilliant innings. Patidar played an important role in his team’s victory. The IPL media release said, “According to the Code of Conduct of the IPL, it was the first crime of the RCB team under Article 2.2 related to the slow over rate and hence the team captain Rajat Patidar has been fined Rs 12 lakh.”

RCB’s next match on 10 April

The team of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) currently ranks third in the points table with six points. RCB’s next match will be against Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru on 10 April. After winning the IPL match against Mumbai Indians on Monday, Rajat Patidar said, “It was really a great match. The way the bowlers showed courage were fantastic. Honestly, this award goes to the bowling unit, because it is not easy to stop the batting unit on this ground, so the credit goes to them.”
