India will witness a grand parade at the Kartavya Path in the national capital. The theme of this year’s Republic Day is “Swarnim Bharat – Virasat aur Vikas.” The special guest for this year’s Republic Day celebrations is the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. Subianto’s visit will make him the fourth Indonesian president to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations

More than 600 panchayat leaders have been invited by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj as special guests to witness the Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path. These special guests have been selected for their outstanding contributions in the “saturation of beneficiaries” under various flagship schemes in their respective panchayats, the ministry said in a statement.
