Team India captain and Mumbai Indians star Rohit Sharma was spotted with Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff during the IPL 2025 pre-season photoshoot as a video of the same surfaced on social media. In a video that surfaced on X, Rohit was seen wearing Mumbai Indians’ jersey and was all smiles with Shroff.
Rohit will be brimming with confidence ahead of the eighteenth season of the lucrative league, given his heroics with the bat in the Champions Trophy 2025 final. The 37-year-old hadn’t fired with the bat all tournament but came good on the night of the final against New Zealand as he slammed 76 to break the back of the run-chase of 252.
Rohit, who was replaced by Hardik Pandya as captain ahead of IPL 2024, had a decent season with the bat, clattering over 400 runs in 14 matches.
Mumbai Indians had a forgettable IPL 2024
Meanwhile, the five-time champions had a forgettable IPL season last year as they finished at the bottom of the table with four wins in 14 games. Although all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been retained as captain, the franchise has replaced Mark Boucher with Mahela Jayawardene as coach.
