6.3 Overs: Shami drops Rachin Ravindra on 28 runs
The third ball of the sixth over saw Shami dropping Rachin Ravindra off his own bowling while he was batting on 28 runs. Ravindra chipped back the good-length delivery, and the ball went to Shami’s left. However, the pacer could not hold on to the ball as it hit the end of his left hand. Even blood started to drip out of pacers hand awhile attempting to take catch.
7.2 Overs: Shreyas Iyer goives Rachin Ravindra second lifeline
After Shami it was Shreyas Iyer’s turn to drop the catch. The second ball of the seventh over saw Ravindra mistiming his shot while batting gon 29. Shreyas Iyer ran to his right and tried to catch the ball by lunging out at the last moment with outstretched hands. However the ball hit the hands and went down as he dived.
34.5 overs: Rohit Sharma drops tough chance off Daryl Mitchell
Team India skipper nearly pulled off a one-handed stunning catch to dismiss Daryl Mitchell during the ongoing India vs New Zealand Champions Trophy 2025 final match in Dubai. The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 34 over. Mitchell goes on the back foot to pull and tries to pull Axar Patel’s short ball. However, he fails to connect the ball cleanly but just gets enough to get it over the outstretched right hand of Team India skipper while batting on 40 runs.
35.6: Shubman Gill drops Glenn Philips
Jadeja was left displeased after Shubman Gill dropped Glenn Philips catch. A length delivery from the left arm spinner saw, Phillips, going on the back foot and pulling the ball. Gill dived to his left but the ball dropped and dipped on him. Gill almost got his fingers under the ball but could not hang onto the ball.
