The warm-up match between India vs Prime Minister XI, played at Manuka Oval, was initially scheduled as a two-day game but was shortened to a 50-over format on day two due to rain disruptions. India, chasing a target of 241, secured a comfortable 6-wicket win in 46 overs.

After winning the toss, India opted to bowl first—a decision that paid off early as the hosts lost two quick wickets. Despite the shaky start, Sam Konstas played a resilient innings, smashing a remarkable century and guiding the Prime Minister XI to a total of 240. Harshit Rana shone with the ball for India, claiming 4 wickets in his 6-over spell.

In the chase, India’s openers laid a strong foundation. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed a brisk 45, while KL Rahul retired out after a composed 27. Shubman Gill made an impactful comeback, scoring a well-crafted fifty off 62 balls before retiring out, showcasing his form ahead of the crucial series.
