The wait finally ended for a die-hard cricket fan in Canberra after receiving an autograph from team India skipper Rohit Sharma after 10 years. Rohit smiled when he heard a fan shouting ‘ Rohit 10 saal ho gaye yaar’ and gave him the autograph. The incident happened after India’s win over Prime Minister XI in the warm-up at Canberra. The video of the incident was shared by BCCI on its social media handle.
While signing autographs are a common norm for cricketers, some actions from fans can sometimes leave the cricketer irritated as well. Rohit Sharma faced such incident during recent practice session before the practice match against Prime ministers XI. The incident happened outside the Manuka Oval ground.
Th team India skipper was mobbed by fans for autographs during which he got a bit irritated after a fan asked him to look at the camera while he was signing autographs. As a result, Rohit asked the fan to wait for his chance as he can’t click pictures when he is giving autographs.
Rohit Sharma’s form a concern ahead of Pink Ball test
The Team India skipper played his first match on Australian soil after missing the Perth test due to the birth of his second child. Rohit did not have a great start to his tour scoring just 4 runs in the practice match against Prime Ministers XI. Rohit Sharma was listed at No.5 in the Indian line-up which included 19 players in the warm-up game.
With KL Rahul and Yashavi Jaiswal playing terrific knocks in the Perth Test, the question now remains is where India will slot Rohit Sharma in the Pink Ball Test match.
