Rocky Flintoff, son of former captain Andrew Flintoff, has created history. At the age of 16, Rocky scored a brilliant century on Australian soil and surprised everyone with his batting. He also hit 6 sixes in this innings, making him the youngest batsman to score a century in red ball cricket for England Lions or England A.

Rocky Flintoff scored a century while batting lower in the tour game against Cricket Australia XI and rescued his team from a difficult situation. At one time during this match, it seemed that the England team would not be able to maintain its lead, but Rocky’s batting changed the situation. Rocky scored 107 runs in 127 balls with the help of 9 fours and 6 sixes and gave the team a lead of 102 runs.

Cricket Australia XI had scored 214 runs in the first innings, after which seven wickets of England Lions had fallen at 161 runs and only the tail batsmen were left. But Rocky Flintoff partnered with James Coles and took England beyond 300 runs. England Lions scored 316 runs.

You will be surprised to know that Andrew Flintoff also had similar brilliant performances in his young career. Rocky hit sixes on the leg side in his innings, which was similar to his father’s strokeplay. At the age of 16 years and 291 days, Rocky Flintoff became the youngest century scorer for England A/Lions, breaking his father’s record of 20 years and 28 days set in 1998 when Andrew scored a century against Kenya in Nairobi.
