Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh has been black out due to rains and snowfall for the last 12 hours. Many villages of Manali have drowned in darkness. Apart from this, snowfall has started for the fourth consecutive day in the surrounding areas. Manali has received about 1 foot fresh snowfall so far. Electricity supply has been disrupted in many roads and rural areas. Along with this, there has been a drastic drop in temperature due to the changing weather.

Alert issued by system

Officials have issued an alert regarding bad weather. In addition, a tree fell on the roof of the famous Hadimba temple, causing its upper part of it. According to the information received, snowfall started on Thursday (27 February) late evening, which continued till Friday afternoon.

 

Electricity supply disrupted in many areas

There was 2 to 3 feet of snowfall in Solanganala in Manali and about 3.5 feet fresh in Atal Tunnel Rohtang. Due to which the Leh-Manali highway has been closed. Constant snowfall affected many roads. Apart from this, electricity supply in rural areas was also disrupted. However, the Meteorological Department has still predicted snowfall.

 

School and college closed

According to information received from Kullu disaster management, 964 transformers have come to a standstill in Kullu district. Manali has the highest number of 729 transformers closed due to snowfall. Similarly, 202 in Kullu and 26 DTR in Ani. Are closed. Contact numbers 01902- 225603, 225631, 225632 have been started by the administration. Many tourists are also stranded in Manali. However, all people are safe and in their hotel. But there is an atmosphere of fear due to snowfall and landslides. All schools and colleges in Manali have been ordered to be closed due to rain and snowfall.
