The Bihar government is constantly trying to improve the road network. The government aims that Bihar’s road system should be the best in the country in the coming years. Especially in rural areas, better road connectivity will be provided, which will promote farming and trade.

In this direction, the construction of Fourlane Ring Road from Madhol to Bakhari in the eastern part of Muzaffarpur district has been approved. The project will cost Rs 1700 crore, which will facilitate traffic between four nearby districts.

Chief Minister’s gift, Muzaffarpur gets forelane ring road

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave many big gifts to Muzaffarpur during his Pragati Yatra. The most important of these is the construction of Fourlane Ring Road, which will be 17.5 km long from Madhol to Bakhari.

Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen informed that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been approved for this project and its construction work will be started soon.

Land acquisition work will start soon

DM Subrata Kumar Sen said that the road to this ring road will cross the Dighra Tirhut canal via Madhol and connect with the Fourlane of Darbhanga. Under the project, it will be ensured that the canal does not cause any damage, so the road will be built on top of it and elevated road will also be built if needed.

Travel to many districts including Patna will be easy

After the construction of Muzaffarpur Ring Road, vehicles coming from Patna-Hajipur will not need to come inside the city to visit Darbhanga, Sitamarhi or Majhauli-Choraut Fourlane.

  • This will reduce traffic load inside the city, which will give relief from the problem of jam.
  • At the same time, vehicles coming from the other side will also be able to go to Patna-Hajipur without entering the city.

Fourlane road will be built from Madhol to Ramdayalu

  • NHAI has completed construction of fourlane road to Madhol on Hajipur-Muzaffarpur road. But till Ramdayalu, this route is still two-lane, due to which the problem of jam remains.
  • Road Construction Department has enough land available on this route and has also been allowed to upgrade to Fourlane.
  • A six -lane road and a bridge will also be built from Chandni Chowk to Ramdayalu.

After the completion of this project, traffic in Muzaffarpur and adjoining districts will be more smooth and faster than ever.
