Lucknow, 08 July (Hindustan Times). Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Uttar Pradesh State President Ramashish Rai has raised a big question regarding the unity of the opposition parties regarding the Lok Sabha elections. In the midst of preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, the party has said that due to the alliance with the SP in UP in the assembly elections, the party will suffer huge losses. He has claimed to strengthen RLD and contest elections on 12 seats in the alliance agreement in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
RLD state president Ramashish Rai has staked his claim on 12 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming 2024 elections. He said that RLD needs 12 seats in the alliance. RLD is busy preparing for 12 Lok Sabha seats. Candidates should be fielded under the alliance on the seats where the party is in a strong position. He said that our mass base has increased, now less than 12 Lok Sabha seats will not work.
Ramashish Rai has questioned the SP-RLD alliance. He clearly said that RLD has suffered a lot due to contesting elections together with SP. He said that together with the SP, we fought the assembly elections and our party lost its state-level recognition. He said that last time we contested on less seats. Because of which we lost our recognition.
State President Ramashish Rai said about Jayant Chaudhary’s tweet “if you want to eat rice then eat kheer” that one cannot rule out the possibility in politics. RLD is strong in 12 seats in the west. Six Lok Sabha seats for state-level status.
