Rishabh Pant’s sister Sakshi has made a harsh comment on a video that trolled her brother after his poor performance with the bat for Lucknow Super Giants against Punjab Kings in an IPL 2025 Match on Tuesday, March 31st.

A video made by thefauxysports saw the anchor poking fun at Pant’s performance in IPL 2025 as well the hefty price at which Lucknow Super Giants signed him during the IPL 2025 Mega auction.

He stated, “Big news is coming from Lucknow where after seeing Rishabh Pant’s performance today, the rest of the IPL teams decided that they will together give Rs 27 crore to LSG to keep Pant with themselves. In fact, Pant, who was sold for 27 crores, has not scored even 27 runs till now, and more than that has been spent in treating the anger of LSG owner Goenka.”

He added ” According to Foxy sources, after seeing Rishabh Pant’s performance, LSG owner Goenka has apologized to KL Rahul. Currently, to recover his ₹27 crores, Goenka is thinking of making Rishabh Pant his driver.”

Sakshi while defending her brother commented on the video which said, ” That’s why we say two faced media/People'”

Rishabh Pant’s performance in IPL 2025 so far

Rishabh Pant is yet to set the stage on fire in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The wicketkeeper batsman started with a duck against Delhi Capitals, followed by a modest 15-run knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In his third match against PBKS, with Lucknow Super Giants already under pressure at 32/2, Pant had the opportunity to stabilize the innings but fell cheaply to Glenn Maxwell. With just 17 runs in three matches, questions are mounting over his ability to lead from the front.

Is the hefty price tag mounting pressure on Pant’s performance?

Lucknow Super Giants made history by signing Rishabh Pant for ₹27 crores during the IPL 2025 mega auction. The amount paid by LSG made Pant the most expensive player in the history of the tournament.

However, the 27 -year-old is yet to justify the investment made by the LSG owners. If he doesn’t find form soon, LSG’s IPL 2025 campaign could face serious hurdles, and the pressure on Pant will only intensify.
