In Tuesday’s match, Punjab Kings’ captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first at Ekana Stadium. Lucknow Super Giants, fresh off a victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad, went with an unchanged playing XI. However, their batting crumbled early, with openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram both falling cheaply.
With Nicholas Pooran at the other end, Rishabh Pant was tasked with anchoring the innings but once again failed to deliver under pressure.
