Rajeev Shukla termed this controversy as completely wrong and supported senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, saying, ‘There is no difference of opinion between Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar. In sports, sometimes players are not in form, it is natural.

Earlier there were reports of differences between Rohit and Gambhir.

It was also said in many reports that there was no consensus between Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir regarding team selection.
