Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A case of negligence by an on-duty driver of Dial 100– emergency service vehicle, was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa. The Dial-100 driver allegedly ran over a street dog sitting in the middle of the road late night in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa. The incident was caught in the camera.
The visuals show an injured street dog sitting in the centre of the road. As soon as it saw the vehicle, it tried to get up and limp its way to cross the road, however it could not owing to the injuries. And, in a blink of eye, the Dial-100 vehicle ran over it. Though the driver stopped for a second, realising the vehicle hit someone, but did not care to stop and check.
Probe ordered
The incident happened in Doodh Mandi area of Rewa around 3:30am on Wednesday, when the Dial-100 was out for patrol. The driver ran over the dog sleeping on the road. No policeman tried to see whether the dog was alive or not.
The video was caught on the CCTV cameras installed on the roadside. The clip was widely shared on the social media, with netizens slamming the negligent Dial-100 driver. Soon after the clip went viral, an investigation was ordered in the matter.
