UPSC teacher and motivational speaker Avadh Ojha is reportedly set to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today at 12 PM in Delhi, according to media reports.

On Sunday, December 1, AAP announced via a social media post that the party would make a big announcement on Monday, December 2. Since then, speculation about Ojha’s potential entry into the party has been rife on social media.

Journalist Ashutosh Misha in a tweet said, “A prominent figure might join the Aam Aadmi Party today. Arvind Kejriwal will hold a major press conference at 12 PM. A renowned name in the field of education will be inducted into the Aam Aadmi Party, with Arvind Kejriwal personally overseeing the membership ceremony.”

Who is Avadh Ojha?

Avadh Ojha is one of the most admired teachers in the country. His full name is Avadh Pratap Ojha. He is an Indian UPSC coach, YouTuber, and educator. He hails from the Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh. After facing setbacks in the UPSC exams, he began teaching at coaching institutes in Allahabad. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when offline classes were suspended, he gained significant popularity on YouTube due to his unique teaching style.

Avadh Ojha’s anticipated entry into the AAP ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections could provide a much needed boost to the party. This development comes shortly after AAP faced a major setback with former minister Kailash Gahlot quitting the party to join the BJP.

On Sunday, AAP’s national convener and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the party would contest the Assembly elections, scheduled for February next year, independently.
