The Jio platform (JPL) has signed an agreement for SpaceX’s Starlink Broadband Internet services. Under this agreement, Jio platforms will provide Starlink broadband internet services to its customers in India. With this deal between Jio and SpaceX, it will be interesting to see how Starlinks can expand Jio offer and how Jio supplements SpaceX’s direct offers for consumers and businesses. Jio will provide starlink equipment through its retail outlets as well as online storefronts.

Through this agreement, the two companies will work together to provide broadband services across the country, in which Jio data will become the world’s largest mobile operator in terms of traffic and Starlink will become the world’s leading low meaning orbit satellite operator.

It also includes the most rural and remote areas of India. Jio will not only provide starlink equipment, but will also provide customer service at its retail outlets. Agreement with SpaceX is part of Jio’s commitment to make reliable internet fully accessible for all enterprises, small and medium businesses and communities across India.

Reliance Jio’s group CEO Matthew Omen said, “Our goal is to ensure that every Indian, wherever they live, have access to affordable and fast broadband. This partnership with Starlink further strengthens our commitment. ”

SpaceX President and COO Gwne Shotwell said, “We are eager to get permission from the Government of India to work with Jio and provide Starlink services.” Starlinks offer high-speed internet worldwide using Earth’s lower orbit satellites. By cooperating with Jio, he will deliver the internet to every corner of India.
