The Government of Chhattisgarh is constantly making efforts to make government services more transparent and easier through technical empowerment, led by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. An important decision has been taken in this episode, so that the general public does not have any inconvenience in the last days of March.

Registry offices will be open despite holidays in March

Commercial Tax (Registration) Minister O. On the instructions of P. Chaudhary, instructions have been issued to all the collectors of the state by Inspector General of Registration and Strap Pushpendra Kumar Meena that all the registry offices will also be open on the public holiday – 25, 29, 30 and 31 March.

The purpose of this decision is to give relief to the common people keeping in mind the increased demand for property registration in the last days of March. Now citizens will be able to register on the day of leave and save time.

Appointment time increases – Now booking will be done by 7 pm

Keeping in mind the public facility, the time of appointment for the registry has also been extended. Earlier, where the last deadline for registration was till 5 pm, now it has been extended till 7 pm.

This change will give special benefits to those citizens who could not get the registry registered in the working hours. This will reduce the crowd in the offices and the system will be better.

Technical disturbances on March 24, now the system is completely fine

On March 24, the server was down for some time due to technical problems in the NGDRS System of the Registry Department, which disrupted the registry work.

However, as soon as the problem was reported, the technical teams of NIC Pune and Raipur acted united and the system was smooth again by 6 pm. The department has assured that technical monitoring and coordination will continue for such a problem in future, for this.

Government’s initiative – emphasis on both transparency and convenience

This decision reflects the thinking of the Government of Chhattisgarh, in which the service of the public is paramount. By making the functioning better through technology, it is being ensured that citizens have neither to be in line, nor work was postponed due to holidays.

Who will get the benefit?

  • Property Buyers: Those who want to register by the end of the financial year.
  • Working Professionals: Those who want to register after office.
  • Senior Citizens: Those who will also be able to get the facility on holiday.

This initiative is definitely in the interest of citizens and this will improve both transparency and timeliness in the registration system of Chhattisgarh.
