DEE Assam Teacher Recruitment 2024: The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam will begin accepting online applications for the recruitment of 4,500 Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) school teachers on February 15. Candidates can apply until March 31 at dee.assam.gov.in.
Of the total vacancies listed, 2,900 are for Assistant Teachers at Lower Primary Schools, while 1,600 are for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers at Upper Primary (UP) Schools.
To be eligible for the exam, applicants must have passed the ATET or CTET. According to DEE Assam, Language 1 or Language 2 of the CTET or ATET must correspond with the school’s medium of teaching.
The agency will issue different merit lists for each region and category.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 40 on January 1 to apply for these positions. Aspirants from the reserved category will have their upper age limit relaxed.
Those with more than two living children after January 1, 2021 (from single or multiple partners) are ineligible to participate in the DEE Assam recruitment procedure.
DEE Assam Teacher Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
1. Essential: The final weightage will include 5% of HS and DELEd scores, as well as 85% of Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower Primary Schools results.
* Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
* 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
* Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary
2. Non-Essential: NCC Certificate – 5 marks for a “C” Certificate and 3 points for a “B” Certificate
OR
5 marks for participation/achievement in recognized sports at the national level or beyond, representing the state or nation.
OR
5 points for participation/accomplishment in recognized fine arts and cultural activities representing the state at the national level or beyond (organized by recognized institutions). 5 points (even if the applicant has all three credentials/achievements) for non-essential qualifications will be included in the final weightage.
