What is Grade 1 Fatty Liver: Due to accumulation of excess calories in the body, fat starts accumulating in the liver, in medical language it is called hepatic steatosis i.e. fatty liver disease. Due to today’s bad lifestyle and eating habits, this disease has become very common. People suffering from diabetes and obesity are most at risk.
Treatment of fatty liver depends on the stage of the disease. It has three stages – Grade 1- Hepatic Steatosis, Grade 2- Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis, Grade 3- Cirrhosis. Grade 1 is the initial stage of fat accumulation in the liver. In this, 5-33 percent fat gets stored in the liver. There are no specific symptoms. Proves to be very beneficial for the liver. Giloy acts as an immunomodulator for diseases that can affect liver function. Drinking half a teaspoon of Giloy powder with warm water daily is beneficial.
Garlic
This spice used in Indian cuisine is actually a herb used in Ayurveda. It contains allicin and selenium, which help activate enzymes to cleanse the liver. In such a situation, eating one or two cloves of garlic on an empty stomach in the morning can prove helpful in fatty liver.
Triphala
Consumption of Triphala is considered very effective in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It is prepared by grinding Amla, Haritaki and Bibhitaki, which are known for their high antioxidant content and liver cleansing and detoxifying abilities. In such a situation, to cure fatty liver, you can consume half a teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water daily.
Turmeric
Regular consumption of turmeric is very helpful in reducing fat from the liver. Actually, it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which protect the liver from diseases. You can drink it on an empty stomach with warm water.
