While you might seen them doing risky stunts, dancing, and lip-syncing to trending songs to steal the attention of people on the internet, let us inform you about a Kolkata-based Instagrammer transformed himself into a beggar for the reel craze.
Pantha Deb on Instagram recorded his public stunt on the streets of the city. In the video, he recorded begging on the city streets. He called it a “24 hour challenge” while releasing the video on the social media platform, suggesting he begged for money for an entire day. However, the visuals only captured him begging in the daylight.

The video opened by showing Deb letting people know about his activity. Before taking up the quirky challenge, he filmed himself to tell viewers that he’s going to beg today and see how much he can earn from it.
Deb sat on the roadside of busy streets, bus stands, and walked across the city to beg. He even had a brief conversation with people while urging them to pay him some money. The video recorded him seated on roads as well as walking from one place to another begging.
How much did he collect?
He received Rs. 2 to Rs. 20 from people during his begging challenge in Kolkata. At the end of the reel, he revealed how much he managed to collect from his begging stunt. It wasn’t a huge sum, but he donated the money he gathered from begging on the street to an elderly woman, who he claimed was homeless.

The video was uploaded online on December 7 and it has already gone viral. So far, the clip has attracted 1.6 lakh views and nearly 6,000 likes.
