Explosive Indian opener Abhishek Sharma has equalled fellow cricketer Urvil Patel’s record by smacking the joint second-fastest T20 hundred, bringing it up only in 28 deliveries in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixture against Meghalaya at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Saurashtra. The left-handed batter plundered 11 sixes in his 29-ball unbeaten 103 as Punjab coasted home comfortably.
