After this, Javed Akhtar appeared in the Magistrate Court, but Kamagana Ranaut could not reach the court due to being busy in parliamentary work. Both appeared in court today and resolved the matter through arbitration.
Kangana Ranaut has posted a post on Instagram Story after a compromise with Javed Akhtar in the defamation case. The actress has shared a photo of herself with Javed Akhtar from the court. Along with this, he has told in the caption that after the agreement, Javed Akhtar has also agreed to write songs for the actress’s film.
What is the whole matter?
The legal battle that started in 2016 between Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar is now over. The dispute began with a meeting held at Akhtar’s residence in March 2016. At that time there was a lot of discussion between Kangana Ranaut and actor Hrithik Roshan, which later turned into controversy. Akhtar, who is considered close to Roshan, allegedly met Ranaut and asked him to apologize to Roshan.
At that time Kangana Ranaut did not react to this. But in 2020, when actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide case was going on, Ranaut talked about his 2016 meeting with Akhtar during a television interview. Akhtar found the interview objectionable and later filed a defamation suit against Ranaut. The legal dispute increased when Ranaut filed a complaint against Akhtar, alleging that he tried to force him to apologize. Since then, the Dindoshi Sessions Court has stayed the proceedings against Akhtar.
