New Delhi : After the Pahalgam attack, India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ and destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Pakistan was angered by this action of India. After this, Pakistan started carrying out airstrikes in the western states of India, but India did not allow any of Pakistan’s plans to succeed. Meanwhile, on May 10, the DGMOs of Pakistan and India held talks and announced a ceasefire.

But even before the announcement of the ceasefire by the two countries, US President Donald Trump announced on social media that American mediation had caused a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Trump also said that America will not trade with them if India and Pakistan do not stop war. But India has rejected Donald Trump’s claim. India said that the ceasefire was discussed only between the DGMOs of the two countries and there was no third party. Trump’s statement is not only disappointing but also weakens India’s role on the global stage.

Diplomatic stir in Middle East: Trump leaves, Crown Prince in Saudi today

According to Indian officials, on 9 May after Operation Sindoor, US Vice President JD Vance spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from this, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Discussed Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval. But during these talks, neither India nor America discussed trade.

Neither ceasefire, nor business…

Trump claimed that if India and Pakistan do not stop the war, America would not do any business with them. If the struggle stops, we will trade with you. No one has ever done business like us. Trump said that the United States has played an important role in reducing the increasing tension between the two nuclear-cys countries. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said that American diplomatic efforts have reduced tension between the two countries.

President Trump also tried to intervene in the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan. He had said that he would also help in resolving the Kashmir issue between the two countries. This will be jointly discussed with both countries.

Pakistan thanked America

Apart from this, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also thanked the US for the ceasefire after the ceasefire. Shahbaz had said that he thanks the US for arbitration in the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan and also appreciate the role of other friendly countries. Shahbaz also thanked Trump on the Kashmir issue.

Meanwhile, India has always clarified that the Kashmir issue is its internal matter. In addition, India has not accepted or will not accept the intervention of any third country in it. Therefore, Donald Trump’s US mediation statement is only to reduce India’s role on the global stage.
