Actress Urvashi Rautela has slammed self-proclaimed film critic and actor Kamaal R Khan (KRK), who criticised her recently-released song titled Dabidi Dibidi from the film Daaku Maharaaj, also starring Nandamuri Balakrishna (NBK). For those unversed, shortly after its release on January 2, the song faced backlash online, with netizens criticising its choreography and labeling it ‘cringe-worthy’.

KRK had also said that Urvashi should be ashamed for performing such ‘vulgar’ dance steps. “Telugu film industry people don’t feel ashamed to shoot such vulgar songs? So Better start to make porn films instead. Urvashi also should be ashamed for doing such song,” his post on X read.

On Thursday (January 9), Urvashi slammed KRK and wrote, “It’s ironic how some who’ve achieved nothing feel entitled to criticize those who work tirelessly. Real power isn’t in tearing others down it’s in lifting them up and inspiring greatness.”

Despite its potential as a party anthem, the song drew criticism for its suggestive and vulgar dance choreography. A section of social media users also expressed discontent over the glaring age gap between the lead pair. NBK, a 64-year-old actor-politician, stars opposite the 30-year-old Urvashi.

Dabidi Dibidi has been choreographed by Sekhar Master. The makers have not reacted to the criticism yet.

Featuring NBK and Urvashi, the high-energy track is composed by Thaman S and sung by Thaman and Vagdevi.

Daaku Maharaja also stars Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Chandhini Chowdary among others. Written and directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya Under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is all set to hit the big screens on January 12.
