Actress Katrina Kaif took a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on February 24, Monday, and while she performed the rituals in the Sangam waters, she was mobbed by scores of semi-naked men. A new video has now surfaced online in which two shirtless men can be seen recording Katrina from up close while she took a dip, and Raveena Tandon among other netizens slammed them for the misbehaviour.

In the video, a shirtless man can be seen standing waist-deep in water, and recording a video, saying, “Ye main hoon, ye mera bhai hai, aur ye Katrina Kaif hai!” as he turned the camera towards the actress. While Katrina looked unfazed by the hullabaloo around her, netizens called the mob “creepy” and “disgusting”.

Raveena Tandon too commented under one video and wrote, “This is disgusting. These kind of people spoil a moment that is supposed to be peaceful and meaningful (sic).”

“I don’t understand what’s funny? Why make a big deal when they see celebrities? (sic),” a user questioned while another wrote, “Very bad…Mass bullying (sic).” “This is sad and disturbing!” a netizen commented.

Earlier, a drone video from the Sangam site had surfaced online in which hundreds of semi-naked were seen mobbing Katrina while she took a dip and performed puja along with her mother-in-law at the Maha Kumbh. While a team of security officials tried to control the crowd, the actress paid no heed to the commotion around her, and maintained her calm as she continued to perform the rituals as instructed.

During her visit to Maha Kumbh, Katrina was also seen participating in the Ganga aarti in the evening, along with Raveena Tandon and Rasha Tandon.

Speaking about her experience of participating in the Maha Kumbh, the Jagga Jasoos actress later told the media, “I am very fortunate that I could come here this time. I am really happy and grateful. I met Swami Chidanand Saraswati and took his blessings. I am just starting my experience here. I like the energy, beauty, and significance of everything.”
