Actress Rashmika Mandanna has finally joined Vicky Kaushal for Chhaava promotions in Mumbai. She was absent from most promotions after injuring her foot during a gym session. The actress was often spotted either using a wheelchair or a walker for support after being unable to walk. She has now recovered from the injury and was seen walking comfortably, though with a slight limp.
Dressed in an orange ethnic suit, Rashmika was spotted at Chitra Cinemas in Dadar, Mumbai for promotions. While posing for the paparazzi, she was asked about her injury, to which she replied that her foot is “better.”

Talking about Chhaava, Rashmika will portray the role of Maharani Yesubai in the period. Directed by Laxman Utekar, it is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.
Apart from Vicky and Rashmika, Chhaava also features Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Shahenshah Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Aurangzeb’s daughter Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Pradeep Rawat as Yesaji Rao Kank, Divya Dutta as Soyarabai, Ashutosh Rana as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, Neil Bhoopalam as Muhammad Akbar, Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash, and Santosh Juvekar as Rayaji Malge, among others in pivotal roles.
In January 2025, Rashmika took to her Instagram handle to inform her fans about the injury. She penned a long caption that read: “Well… happy New Year to me I guess! Injured myself in my sacred gym shrine. Now I’m in “hop mode” for the next few weeks or months or god only knows, so seems like I’ll be hopping my way back to sets for Thama, Sikandar, and Kubera!”
“To my directors sorry for the delay…I’ll be back soon enough just making sure my legs are fit for action (or at least fit for hopping) In the meantime if you need me…I’ll be the one in the corner doing a highly advanced bunny hop workout. HOP HOP HOP…”
