Rapper OG 2 LOW sent the internet into a tizzy after a video of him accidentally shooting himself in the leg went viral online. In the video, he can be seen engaging in a conversation on the 1 on 1 W/ Mike D podcast when he unintentionally injured himself, leaving everyone on the sets shocked.
The viral video shows host Mike D and OG 2 LOW talking about the rapper’s career when the latter casually slipped his hand inside his pocket. It was then that his pistol accidentally got fired and an explosion near his pocket can be seen in the video.
The people on the sets were stunned and inquired if the rapper was fine. “Who got shot?” Mike D asked and verified if anyone else besides OG 2 LOW was hurt due to the gunshot.
Post the incident, OG 2 LOW addressed the audience and stated, “Right now, man, we’re just being grateful that everyone is safe, everyone is good.” Host Mike D added, “We had to take a small break. We had a pop, a moment, you know what I’m saying? It’s never happened on ‘1 on 1 with Mike D.’ But tonight, with my brother Tulo, every time we get together, we make history. So, I guess we just made history, y’all!”
As the video got widely circulated online, netizens were reminded of the infamous 2008 incident when former NFL player Plaxico Burress unintentionally shot himself in the thigh at a nightclub. He was sentenced to a jail term. Later, Burress became an advocate for safe usage of weapons and created awareness around proper licensing of guns.
