Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A college student in Indore has filed a police complaint against a Rapido driver for harassment and stalking.
According to information, the incident occurred in the Bhawarkua area, where the accused had been following the student and even came to her hostel.
The student, who is pursuing a BA degree, reported that she booked a Rapido ride on January 2 from the railway station to Khajrana.
After dropping her off, the driver began stalking her and repeatedly called her using his mobile number, pressuring her to talk to him.
On January 5, the driver followed her again while she was returning from college to her hostel. He stood outside her hostel for an extended period, making her feel unsafe and uncomfortable.
Distressed by the situation, the student informed her hostel owner and warden about the matter. Acting on their advice, she filed a complaint with the police.
The police have registered a case against the accused based on the student’s complaint and the mobile number she provided.
Further investigations are underway to apprehend the driver and ensure appropriate action is taken.
