Rap Song Targeting Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Over GST Regime Goes Viral | X

Mumbai, December 31: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is facing criticism from opposition parties and some internet users over the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime and the tax system introduced by her. However, a social media influencer has registered his protest against the country’s taxation system in a unique way. The influencer has created a rap song criticising the tax system, which is being widely shared on social media. The rap song, titled “A Rap on Tax wali Tai,” has gone viral.

The social media influencer “khotaa.sikkaaa” shared the song on his Instagram account, after which it quickly gained traction online. Internet users are widely sharing the song across various platforms while targeting the Finance Minister.

One user shared the video on social media, commenting, “India’s present taxation system is more dangerous than the British tax regime; it will suck the life out of the common man. Listen to this rap on India’s tax system.”

Another user remarked, “Ek no mera bhai, lekin unko koi farak nai padne wala kyunki wo khud nahi chahte back step hona. Isliye Andbhakti ka sahara leke ye sab ho raha hai.” (You’re great, my brother, but it won’t matter to them because they don’t want to take a step back. This is why all this is happening under the guise of blind devotion.)

Khotaa.Sikkaaa has also created rap songs on other pressing issues, such as the BPSC protests by students in Bihar. His Instagram account features other songs as well. Regarding the BPSC protest rap, he commented, “The current BPSC protest paints an exact picture of Bihar. A society lacking intellectual heft and civility. Add to this rouge officers ruling with all their might.”

Although Khotaa.Sikkaaa has only 613 followers on Instagram, his rap criticising the Finance Minister has garnered over 10,000 likes within two days of being uploaded.
