Former batsman Rameez Raja has been making new revelations ever since he was removed from the post of chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Rameez Raja has now made another disclosure. Rameez Raja has said that when he was in PCB, he had received death threats and since then he was using a bullet proof car.
The Pakistani government removed Raja from the post of PCB chairman and replaced him with Najam Sethi as the new chairman. Sethi had made several changes while taking over the post, one of which was the removal of the selection committee headed by Mohammad Wasim and the formation of a three-member selection committee headed by Shahid Afridi.
Car worth crores bought to save lives
When Rameez Raja was the chairman of PCB, he bought a car worth 1.65 crores. When he was questioned in this matter, while talking to Sama TV, he said, “That car is with the PCB. I didn’t buy it. Those who have come after me can also use it. I had received death threats. You can’t buy a bullet proof car unless you get death threats. That’s why I bought this car.”
He said, “I cannot share more details about it. But this happened in March-2022 during the series played between Pakistan and Australia. DIG Sahab had come to my house and a report was made from its details.
PCB also threatened
After leaving PCB, Rameez Raja is continuously keeping his point and speaking. Meanwhile, he made many revelations regarding the PCB and also targeted the board. Raja had said that he was not even allowed to pick up the goods from the board office. After this PCB had talked about taking legal action against Rameez Raja. Najam Sethi has overturned many decisions of the king.
