Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted Ram Navami and wished new enthusiasm and energy in the lives of the countrymen. He said that this auspicious occasion of the birth of Lord Shri Ram should bring new consciousness in everyone’s life and give a new direction to the resolve to make India a strong, prosperous and capable nation.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Ram Navami. He said that Lord Shri Ram is a symbol of the soul of India, the ideal of religion and dignity. This festival of Ram Navami is an opportunity for all of us to adopt his life values. He prayed that the grace of Lord Shri Ram should remain on everyone and there should be happiness, peace and prosperity in the country.
Yogi Adityanath while reciting the shloka dedicated to Lord Shri Ram said that this festival is a symbol of unity in the diversity of Indian culture and Rama gives the message of dignity, compassion and duty in our life.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu on the day of Ram Navami. During this time he will also inaugurate the new Pamban Bridge. The bridge will replace the old bridge in 1914, which was closed in 2022. The new bridge is 2.5 km long and has been built by Rail Development Corporation Limited at a cost of Rs 535 crore.
On the occasion of Ram Navami, a large number of devotees gathered at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Many devotees took a bath in the Saryu river before the darshan. The Ram Janmabhoomi temple was decorated with beautiful flowers and lights, which attracted devotees from all over the country to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama.
A devotee told that it looks very good after coming to Ayodhya, the arrangements here are also excellent. Another devotee said that he has come from Varanasi to see Lord Shri Ram on Ramnavami.
A crowd of devotees also gathered at the famous Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya. The temple priest Mahant Raju Das told that aarti took place at 3 am and devotees are worshiping in large numbers. He greeted all the devotees and prayed for world welfare.
Rama Navami is celebrated on the last day of Chaitra Navratri and this day is celebrated especially across the country to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama. On this occasion, small girls representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga are honored by giving them gifts and offerings.
