IND vs Eng, Shubman Gill Launches Century: In the third ODI being played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, England won the toss and decided to bowl first. Indian team opener Shubman Gill, who came out to bat, hit a century while batting brilliantly. This is his seventh century in ODI cricket. With this, he has become the first Indian batsman to score a century in all three formats of cricket on the same field-Test, ODI and T20-.

Gill completed her 2500 runs in ODI cricket

Faf du Plessis, Warner, Babur and D Cock have done this feat in international cricket. This is Shubman’s first ODI century in Ahmedabad. He has earlier scored centuries in Tests and T20s here. Shubman Gill has scored more than 50 runs in the third consecutive ODI against England. In the last ODI of the series against England in Ahmedabad, Shubman completed his 2500 runs in international ODI cricket.

 

Gill is the only player to do so in 50 innings.

With this, he has become the only player to achieve this feat in just 50 innings. Earlier, South African cricketer Hashim Amla completed 2500 runs in 53 innings. The team is relieved as India’s opener and vice-captains are in excellent form before the Champions Trophy.
