Nowadays it has become very easy to get grocery items, breakfast or pet food to your home. However, receiving the necessary medicines in some places still seems difficult. Realizing this problem, an app named ‘Ripil’ has been created, which claims to deliver medicines to your home in just 60 minutes. Behind this is Rajat Gupta of Delhi, who was working on a thick salary of Rs 1.5 crore in the US, but he quit his job to do some useful work in India. While working abroad, Rajat saw the healthcare system closely. Then he got the idea of starting a similar easy system in India. He worked hard for about a year with a team of 12 people and finally launched ‘Repill’ in January 2025.
It started from Delhi and more than 400 orders were completed in a very short time. The average time for delivery of medicines is 30 to 40 minutes. The number of users of the app is increasing rapidly. After this success, this app is now preparing to expand in metros like Noida, Gurgaon, Bangalore and Mumbai. The next phase aims to provide services in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, as it is still challenging to get medicines at such places.
The purpose of the ‘Repill’ app is not limited to sharp delivery only. Rajat Gupta’s dream is to create a healthcare platform that will provide time and appropriate medicines to every Indian. This app allows users to connect directly to their nearest medical store and make it easier to manage tips.
Overall, ‘Repill’ is proving to be an experiment that is not only based on technology but is designed to address a social requirement. It is expected that this silver initiative will bring positive changes in the Indian healthcare system.
