The atmosphere of happiness at a wedding ceremony in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district suddenly turned into tension and commotion. Amidst the music of the wedding band and the dancing and singing of the wedding procession, a fight suddenly broke out. The matter escalated so much that kicks and punches started raining and then shots were fired. The groom’s maternal uncle and cousin were injured in this incident.
How did the controversy start?
This incident took place in Bhadauria Pada Kiri Mohalla of Bari town of Dholpur district. The marriage procession of two sons of Ramji Koli, Devendra and Rahul, resident of Nagla village of Chhetar in Jagner police station area of Uttar Pradesh, had reached Bari on Saturday. Devendra and Rahul’s maternal uncle Dharamveer Koli (40) and cousin Ranjit Koli (20) also participated in the marriage procession.
During the procession (Bindauli) at night, someone threw a burning firecracker at the wedding processionists. The atmosphere became heated due to this incident. It is being told that the dispute started between some drunk people, which soon turned into a big fight between the two parties.
Uncle and nephew injured in firing
The dispute between the boy and the girl increased so much that kicking and punching started and in the meantime someone opened fire. The groom’s maternal uncle Dharamveer and cousin Ranjeet were injured in the firing. The injured were immediately admitted to the government hospital in Bari.

Bari Kotwali Police Station SHO Lalman Singh Told that the fight and firing are being investigated from every angle. The search is on for the unknown person who fired the shot and threw the firecracker.

According to media reports, the dispute started with burning firecrackers thrown at the wedding procession. After this some drunk people started fighting. The fight escalated so much that fighting broke out between the two parties and even firing took place.
Condition of the injured and further investigation
The condition of the injured, Dharamveer and Ranjeet, is now said to be stable. Police have collected evidence from the spot and are trying to identify the people involved in the case.
