Jaipur: The Rajasthan government is all set to implement interstate portability of its cashless treatment scheme. It will help the beneficiaries of Chief Minister’s Ayushman Arogya Yojana and Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana to get cashless treatment in the hospitals empanelled under the schemes in the state and across the country.
“In the first phase, through the inbound portability of the Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana, patients from other states will be provided free treatment in Rajasthan. After its successful implementation, free treatment will be available to patients of Rajasthan in other states as well,” said the officials of the medical department of the state.
Interstate portability of Chief Minister’s Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MA) was announced in this year’s state budget. To implement this, the government is introducing the Transaction Management System
TMS 2.0 software in place of TMS 1.0 which was being used for Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. The trial of TMS 2.0 trial is going on and patients of other states will be able to get treatment in the hospitals of Rajasthan in the next two months.
Similarly, for outbound portability, the National Health Claim Exchange Platform will be used by National Health Authority, New Delhi. The portal of the scheme is also being updated, which is likely to take 6 months.
The officials said that department is working with the National Health Authority and have reached advanced stage to implement the portability.
Notably, the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana is a replacement of previous Congress government’s Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, however, number of packages has been increased from 1806 to 2370. It includes the packages of robotic, neuro surgery, plastic surgery and skin transplant, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, geriatric care packages for people above 70 years of age besides the other normal diseases. The state government has created a fund of Rs, 3500 crores for the scheme for the FY 2025-26.
