A clip of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has gone viral on social media in which he allegedly calls Prime Minister Narendra Modi his favourite actor. The Congress is fiercely criticising the CM over this statement. Meanwhile, social media is also abuzz with discussions regarding his remark. Various reactions are emerging on social media regarding the CM’s video—some users claim the video has been edited, while others are heavily trolling Bhajan Lal.
On the microblogging site x, Rajasthan BJP spokesperson Lakshmikant Bhardwaj wrote, “The Chief Minister was asked—Sir, who is your favourite hero? The CM replied—Narendra Modi Ji. Congress members, who are always at the feet of one family, are unsuccessfully trying to edit the video and fabricate a fake script while continuing their tradition of lies and deceit.”
Lokesh Sharma, former OSD to ex-CM Ashok Gehlot, who previously held him accountable in the phone-tapping case, wrote, “Look!! Even the CM appointed by Modi Ji considers him an actor.”
In response, a user @maheshmaila4u (Hindustan) commented, “Do you not know the difference between a hero and an actor?”
During a program featuring film celebrities in the capital, when asked by Reporters about his favourite actor, the CM humorously named PM Modi. The video has since gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, people on social media are fiercely trolling the CM.
A user, Madan Lal Verma, commented, “If BJP members do not consider Narendra Modi their actor, their chair will be snatched away in no time.”
Another user, Rohit Jhaliwalj, wrote, “He was singing bhajans when he became the chief minister, don’t call Modi papa tomorrow.”
Similarly, Kishan Singh commented, “This is the height of sycophancy! Now that he has been made CM, has he also been bought?”
Rajkumar Shrimali wrote, “Brahmins never lie; the CM has given the perfect response.”
During a program in Jaipur, the media asked CM Bhajanlal who his favourite actor was. Laughing, he took PM Narendra Modi’s name, prompting laughter from those present. Meanwhile, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara attacked the BJP over the video on social media.
He remarked, “Better late than never… Even the BJP government’s CM has now admitted that Modi Ji is not a mass leader but an actor. He is skilled in camera tricks, teleprompter reading, costume styling, and eloquent speeches.”
