Samay rane new controversy: Famous YouTuber and Standup Comedian Samay Raina’s difficulties have increased once again. The Supreme Court has issued notice to five other influential people including Raina. This instruction has been given on the application of an NGO called Cure SMA India Foundation. The petition alleged that this influential person has made fun of the disabled people.

This rare disease is being mocked

At that time, Raina was accused of making insensitive remarks about the expensive treatment of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and making fun of a disabled person. The petition also demanded that there should be regulation on the spread of such online materials that violate the right to life and respect of persons with disabilities.

Order to appear in court for five influential people

A bench of Koteshwar Singh has directed the Mumbai Police Commissioner to produce time Raina, Vipul Goyal, Balraj Paramjit Singh Ghai, Sonali Thakar alias Sonali Aditya Desai and Nishant Jagdish Tanwar to be produced in court on the next date of hearing.

Strict action will be taken if you do not appear in the court.

Following this allegation, a bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice N. Koteshwar Singh ordered the Mumbai Police Commissioner to issue notice to these five influential people and ask them to appear in court. The bench also said that strict action will be taken against him if he does not appear in court.

Maharashtra government was also made a side in this matter

During the hearing, the Supreme Court also made a part of the Maharashtra government in the case and issued notices to the Government of India, News Broadcasters and Digital Association and Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation.

Suggestions sought for corrective action on insensitive comments

The court also sought a suggestion from the petitioner’s counsel that what can be suggested for insensitive comments in such cases.

The court further said, “Such comments are harmful to the upliftment of the disabled and the legal measures taken for their social inclusion.” “We will ban any speech that aims to defame a community.”

 

The responsibility of people with large number of followers is important

Expressing deep concern over the matter, the Supreme Court bench said, “The responsibility of a large number of followers on social media is very important.” The court described it as ‘harmful’ and ‘desperate’ behavior and said, ‘People living in unsafe situations may suffer more.’

To hurt the self -esteem of millions

The bench said, “Such acts are not only against social sensibilities, but also hurts the self -esteem of millions of people who want to live with respect in society despite their physical limitations.” We believe that some punitive and corrective action is necessary in it.
